Assam board exams 2021

Assam Board Exams 2021 for AHSEC Class 12 and SEBA Class 10 students are scheduled to be conducted in July, as per previous notice. Final decision would be shared by Assam Government today.

Assam Board Exam 2021 decision to conduct or cancel would be taken today – June 18, 2021. The state government had on June 16 shared that it is considering the situation and would make a final call on Friday. With Supreme Court yesterday issuing order to serve notice to all states who haven’t cancelled exams yet, the pressure on the state government has increased.

In an earlier statement, Assam Government had insisted that both AHSEC Class 12 as well as SEBA Class 10 exams would be conducted. In a tentative schedule, the state government had suggested exams for only few subjects in third week of July, provided the case positivity rate falls below 2% in Assam. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said final decision on Assam Boards would be taken on June 18.

Students and parents, however, have been insisting that the Assam Board 10th 12th Exams should also be cancelled like the CBSE Board Exams. Now, with the release of CBSE Class 12 Result tabulation Policy, many are further suggesting that state board should be cancelled.

A plea was filed in Supreme Court for all state boards to cancel the examination. While approving the CBSE’s policy for result, the apex court has also granted permission to the petitioners to serve notice to the states who have not cancelled the examination as yet.
Advocated who have been fighting for the students’ are hopeful of a favourable result soon. The decision of the government on whether both Class 10 and 12 would be cancelled or not would be announced today. Also, in case the Government favours conducting examination, it is likely that the AHSEC, SEBA boards along with the state government would have to present their case in front of the Supreme Court, since the matter is now under consideration.
