JEE Main, CUET, NEET 2022: Exam dates, updates on engineering, medical, UG admissions

NEW DELHI: What after Class 12? A question that is usually posed to students who are going to appear in the board exams 2022 as they will have to choose a course for their career. Engineering and medicine are the most popular and sought-after courses that students want to pursue after Class 12. With the advent of new career roles, there are also different and new undergraduate courses introduced by different colleges. However, students will have to clear the respective competitive exams to get admission into their preferred course.

Before appearing for the engineering (JEE Main 2022), medicine (NEET UG 2022), and the common university entrance test for central universities (CUET 2022) for UG admissions, students will have to know the exam dates, eligibility criteria to appear for these competitive exams. Here’s are the latest updates on JEE Main 2022, NEET UG 2022, CUET 2022 and exam dates.

JEE Main 2022 exam date

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be holding the engineering entrance test – Joint Entrance Examination Main 2022 (JEE Main 2022). This year, the NTA has announced to conduct JEE Main 2022 in two sessions – April and May. The JEE Main 2022 session 1 will begin from April 21 to May 4, 2022. The JEE Main 2022 second phase will be held from May 24 to 29.

The application form for JEE Mains has already been released on the official website on March 1. The NTA has recently extended the last date for session 1 registration to April 5. Students who wish to appear for the engineering entrance exam will have to apply on the NTA JEE Main official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, before the deadline.

CUET 2022 exam date

According to the schedule released by the NTA, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2022) exam will be conducted in the first and second week of July 2022. The NTA announced yesterday, April 2, that the CUET 2022 registration date is April 6. Students will be able to submit the CUET 2022 application form till May 6 at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

The CUET 2022 exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode and will consist of multiple-choice questions.

All central universities including Delhi University , Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, University of Allahabad, Banaras Hindu University, University of Kerala will conduct admission to their UG programmes based on the marks secured by candidates in the CUET 2022 entrance exam. The state universities, private universities and deemed-to-be universities can also use the CUET 2022 scores for admission to their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes if they wish, UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had said.

NEET UG 2022 exam date

As per the latest update on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2022), the NEET 2022 notification is expected to be issued soon at neet.nic.in. As per the reports, the NTA is expected to conduct the national medical entrance exam – NEET 2022 – on July 17. Although the NEET 2022 application form was expected to be released on April 2, the NTA hasn’t yet confirmed the NEET 2022 schedule yet. Over 16 lakh students register for NEET every year. Candidates will be able to register for the undergraduate medical exam from the official website.

Along with the NEET 2022 exam date and application form, the NTA will also release the official brochure mentioning important dates and details such as eligibility criteria, registration process, fee on nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in soon.
