Jammu and Kashmir BOPEE announces admission to B.Sc. Nursing, Paramedical, and Technology Courses 2023.

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for the Entrance Test to be held for admission to B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Paramedical / B.Sc. Technology courses for the academic session 2023 in Government/Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K. The selection of candidates will be done in accordance with the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002, and its Rules and Regulations, as well as the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, as amended by the J&K Re-organization Act, 2019, and the J&K Reservation Rules, 2005, as amended from time to time. The guidelines provided in the Electronic Information Brochure-2023 must also be followed. Reference should be made to Notification No. 5 of 2023, dated 06-04-2023, issued by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), as well as Notification No. 023-BOPEE of 2023, dated 18-04-2023.This is important information regarding the entrance test for B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Paramedical /B.Sc. Technology courses in Government/Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K. The following points should be noted:

1.Online application forms can be submitted from 19-04-2023.

2.The last date for filling the online application forms is 03-05-2023 (Midnight).

3.A fee of Rs. 1000/ (Rupees one thousand only) must be paid online through National Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

4. The e-Information Brochure is available for download on the BOPEE website at www.jkbopee.gov.in.

5.The e-Brochure contains the syllabus for the examination/test.

6.The date of the Common Entrance Test will be announced separately.

7.Candidates are advised to read the Information Brochure carefully before filling the Online Application Form. The Board will not be responsible for any mistakes made by the candidate(s) while filling out the Online Application Form. Candidates should carefully review the information contained in the e-Information Brochure and agree to the conditions therein.

8. Candidates are advised to keep checking the BOPEE website at www.jkbopee.gov.in for updates. The Board cannot be held responsible for any delays in the publication of notices/notifications in newspapers, as such delays are beyond the Board’s control, even if the Board announces the same on its official website and forwards them simultaneously for publication in newspapers on the date of issue.

 9.The Board will conduct the Entrance Examination offline if required.

Submission of Online Application Forms:

The interested candidates must upload scanned original/self-attested certificates in PDF format, with a size between 100-200 KB, along with the Application Form. The required documents include: (i) domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh (for candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate), (ii) Qualifying marks certificate for 12th Class (where the result is declared), (iii) Date of Birth Certificate (only Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board), (iv) Valid Reserved category certificate, if any, and (v) any other documents requested.

However, it should be noted that the afore-titled documents required for the submission of the application form are provisional and subject to change(s), if any, as may be notified by the Government subsequently.

To be eligible for the B.Sc. Nursing Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A candidate should:

(i) be a resident of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh, and for those belonging to UT of Ladakh, a ST certificate issued by Competent Authority of Ladakh is treated as Domicile certificate;

(ii) be 17 years old by December 31st of the year in which they are seeking admission.

(iii) have passed the 12th Standard examination (10+2) and secured at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined, and passed English separately. This includes candidates from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government who have studied Science subjects and English only.

(iv) For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks required in 3 core subjects are 40% instead of 45% for General category candidates.

(v) be medically fit.

Candidates who will be appearing for the 10+2 (12th Class) examination in 2023 may also apply, provided that they have qualified for the examination by the time of the declaration of the Entrance Test result or before the date of counseling/admission, as may be notified by the Board.

To be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. Para-Medical courses, candidates must meet the following criteria:

   1. They must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as applicable, and if they belong to UT of Ladakh, a ST certificate issued by the competent authority of Ladakh will be considered a domicile certificate.

3.They must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science (PCB) and English from a recognized Board/University, securing a minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit candidates and 40% marks for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate.

In addition, candidates who are appearing/appeared in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination in 2023 can also apply, provided they have qualified the examination at the time of the declaration of the result of the Entrance Test or before the date of counseling/admission as may be notified by the Board.

For candidates applying for Lateral Entry only, they must have obtained a diploma in the concerned stream and passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and a diploma registered with the J&K Para-Medical Council

To be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. Para-Medical courses, candidates must meet the following criteria:

 1.They must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as applicable, and if they belong to UT of Ladakh, a ST certificate issued by the competent authority of Ladakh will be considered a domicile certificate.

2.They must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2023

3.They must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science (PCB) and English from a recognized Board/University, securing a minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit candidates and 40% marks for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate.

a. They must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh, and if they belong to UT of Ladakh, their ST certificate issued by the competent authority of Ladakh will be treated as a domicile certificate.

b. They must be at least 17 years old by December 31st, 2023.

c. They must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English from a recognized board or university, obtaining a minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit Candidates and 40% marks for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate.

Additionally, candidates who will appear/appeared in the 10+2 examination in 2023 can also apply, provided that they have qualified the examination at the time of the declaration of the result in the Entrance Test or before the date of counseling/admission as notified by the Board.

Syllabus

The candidates who wish to apply for the courses mentioned in sections (A), (B), and (C) should check the syllabus for the Common Entrance Test available on the BOPEE website. The eligibility criteria provided in this document are provisional and subject to change based on the instructions of the concerned university or authority. Original documents such as 12th class marks certificate, birth certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate, and any other relevant documents must be submitted to the institution at the time of admission. The Board will issue a separate notification for downloading electronic Admit Cards. The Common Entrance Examination, if conducted, will be held offline at Jammu/Srinagar centers. The information about the availability of online Admit Cards, venue, and time of the Common Entrance Test will be issued separately.
