JKBOSE Cancelled Pending exams of Class 11th & 12th.
Srinagar, June 9: The J&K government Wednesday cancelled all pending regular and private exams of 11th and 12th classes, session 2020-21, which were to be conducted by the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE). The decision was taken in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic across J&K.
“In view of safety and wellbeing of students due to Covid pandemic, all pending JKBOSE examinations, session 2020-21 (Regular/Private) for final exams of class XI and XII across JKUT for which examination/results are awaited, are cancelled, ” LG Sinha tweeted on his official Twitter handle.
He said the detailed procedure for publishing results along with a scheme of marking will be completed by JKBOSE shortly.
A JKBOSE official said the Board had submitted the proposal to the government to cancel the exams. “The annual 2021 regular exams had commenced in earlier months and the exams for two to three subjects were conducted as well. But the examination was postponed due to a spike in COVID-19 cases,” the official said.
The official said the bi-annual private exam for class 10th and 12th was also due in coming months. “We had also written to the government about these exams. The government has announced the cancellation of these exams as well,” the official said.
