LIC Scholarship 2021: Apply immediately for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship, get Rs 20,000 annually

LIC Scholarship 2021: In what can be considered as the best scholarship for the meritorious students, the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation has announced Scholarships on all India basis for students who have passed X/XII or equivalent with a minimum of 60 per cent grade in the academic year 2020-21.

The eligible and interested economically weaker students must apply for the LIC Scholarship 2021 latest by December 31, 2021.

There are two types of LIC Scholarships

  • Regular Scholarships Per Divisional Centre of LIC
  • Special Scholarships for Girl Child
  1. Regular Scholarships Per Divisional Centre of LIC
  • A total of 20 regular scholarships per divisional centre of LIC: (10 each for boys and girls) for students belonging to economically weaker families for pursuing higher studies in i) Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline. Diploma course in any field and integrated course, ii) vocational courses through government recognized colleges/ institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).

LIC Scholarship 2021 amount

  • The eligible students would be given Rs 20,000 per annum each. This shall be paid quarterly.

LIC Scholarship 2021 eligible criteria

  • All candidates who have passed the Class XII exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2020-21 and pursuing higher education are eligible to get the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship.
  1. Special Scholarships for Girl Child
  • A total of 10 Special Scholarships per Divisional Centre of LIC will be given to the eligible girl students.

LIC Scholarship 2021 amount

  • Rs 10,000 per annum will be given to the eligible girl students.

LIC Scholarship eligible criteria

  • The girl children who have passed the Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2020-21 and are pursuing higher studies in 10+2 pattern for two years are eligible to get the LIC Scholarship 2021.

LIC Scholarship duration

  • Duration: 2 years

Other Eligibility Criteria for LIC Scholarship

  • The students who have secured not less than 60% marks in their previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians is bellow Rs 1,00,000 are eligible for the LIC Scholarship.

Selection of LIC Scholarship 

  • The candidates will be selected based on their marks and family income. Eligible Students having the lowest income shall be given preference.

The candidates should secure more than 55% marks and 50% marks in professional streams and graduation courses in Arts/ Science/ Commerce or equivalent grade in the previous final examination of the course respectively.
